Gothenburg U-GOT KIES centre and the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce Dallas welcome you to a lecture by Simon Johnson, Professor, MIT Sloan School, and Nobel Laureate 2024.
Professor Johnson´s lecture at this webinar adresses the impact of generative AI on jobs and incomes, where current debates contrast techno-optimism and techno-pessimism. Based on his co-authored book Power and Progress (with D. Acemoglu), Professor Johnson provides insights into historical trends and current debates about how technology impacts jobs, income and global inequality. He concludes with insights into an active role for policy to shape AI use.
