Event Description:

Welcome to The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce Texas’ annual Golf Tournament, this year in Austin! This event will take place at the Grey Rock Golfclub.

Golf course
It is a non-metal spike facility. The dress code does not permit denim and men must have a collared shirt. Link to http://www.greyrockgolfandtennis.com/

 

Format
The format is Scramble and there will be a longest drive and closest to pin award. We hope to see The prestigious “SACC Texas City Championship” go to Dallas for a third straight time.

Non-golfers
If you want to participate but don’t play golf there are still other options. Either you come to the golf course and enjoy a nice walk and you’re invited to participate in the lunch and/or dinner and mingle with your SACC friends – but please let us know so we can make a reservation.
 
Evening dinner and overnight stay
We will have dinner at 7 PM for food and drinks (at your own expense) place TBD. If you are interested in participating please send an email to dallas@sacctx.com If you plan on staying the night please let us know as we will try to arrange so we all stay in the same hotel down town Austin.

 

To allow for us to have dinner in town at 7PM we will this year start a little bit earlier than previous year, so we need to take that into account as we plan our trip down to Austin

Type: Scramble (team of 4), longest drive + closest to the pin

 

The rough schedule for the day is the following: 

10:00-10:30 - Everybody meet at the golf course (club house)

10:30-11:00: We eat brunch together in the club house, go through rules etc.

11:00 - 11:30: Warm up

11:30 - 12:00: Start the tournament

17:00 - 17:30: After-golf drink and prize ceremony

19:00 - Dinner downtown

  • Brunch, Starts preliminary at 10.30
  • Practice Balls prior to Tee Time
  • Greens Fee & Cart Fee, First start preliminary 1PM
  • Professional Tournament Set-Up
  • Format is Texas Scramble. 
  • The tournament is for socializing with the other cities of our Chamber but also of course the prestigious SACC Texas City Championship.
